oh.....that was....a differernt one.....than ur usual stories....
um..something like...giving birth to ducklings, this was the ugly duckling, turning into a swan, unique amongst ur regular stories.

Though a part of me does agree with what you say, i cant yet agree completely to your perception...i repeate....YOUR PERCEPTION!
Well, a person writing a piece of article, a story or a poem, an autobiography, whatever, has some intension always. It can be the need to share some experience, or knowledge, a debate, or about some universal truth as you say, to make a mark as a writer[ i dont agree with this last point, as it is not the ONLY way to make a mark as a writer]
For me i think my poem would lie in a category of desire. An imagination, which is not possible in reality, beacause of some issues that u described well, but an imagination for all[readers] to visualise, what kind of life i do yearn for.
Being able to live in solitude or no, is another question.
But dreaming, yearning to live like that someday, and expression people about it, in words, is what my poem is about.
According to me, this is enough and i dont see anything lacking in it, that might fail to make a mark, as a writer.
But ya...if you keep your perceptions, as the top priority, and not the POET'S perception, i would say, you would surely FAIL TO make a mark as a READER.

i think living alone is absolute necessary, in todays world, if u want to think about yourself.
its impossible to think only about you when you live in a world, full with friends, relatives and what not.
you yourself say, we are social animals. being in solitude is just is something opposite, and so one has to be away from all.
its impossible to live with a crowd, and not to think of it. you just tend to, as you are not alone.
hence being in seclusion is necessary to find utmost loneliness, where in you can think about yourself, sort out thoughts, realise your drawbacks, improve on them, think clear, mediate...whatever..!!
